When your Wi-Fi signal is weak or your connection doesn’t extend as far as you want, a Wi-Fi booster can help. But there are so many boosters on the market. It can be hard to find one that will work for your home and Internet connection.

I’ve reviewed several Wi-Fi boosters , and I can confidently say that Trifiboost took me by surprise. It offers features that I had been looking for in other boosters, and it still has the same ease of use that you’ll find with other similar devices.

But is this the best Wi-Fi extender? Let’s find out.

Trifiboost Features and Specs

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi w/300Mbps on 2.4Ghz and 433Mbps on 5Ghz channels
  • Turbo/booster feature
  • Smart Wi-Fi light
  • 3 antennas

My Trifiboost Review

If I’m being completely honest, I was skeptical of Trifiboost at first because of its design. It’s a bit bigger and clunkier than other Wi-Fi extenders (it has three antennas), but that doesn’t take away from its performance. In fact, once I had it plugged in and set up, I really didn’t notice it. If you’re worried that this extender will be an eyesore, don’t be.

Of course, appearance really doesn’t matter in the scheme of things. Performance is the only thing that matters.

And Trifiboost definitely doesn’t disappoint in this department. There are a few features that this Wi-Fi booster offers that I was really surprised about.

The feature that I loved the most was the dual-band option . Yes, this is a dual-band booster, with:

  • 300Mbps on the 2.4Ghz channel
  • 433Mbps on the 5Ghz channel

Why is the dual-band function so great? Faster speeds – for most people. You see, most people are automatically connected to the 2.4Ghz channel. This means that you and all of your neighbors are probably sharing the same channel. Eventually, this can cause your Internet speed to suffer because there’s so much congestion on the channel.

Most people find that switching to the 5Ghz channel boosts their Internet speed because there’s less traffic and less congestion.

Being able to switch between the two channels is a major bonus in my opinion. It means that you can have faster speeds with the touch of a button. Depending on your situation and connection, the speed increase may be significant.

Along with the ability to switch between channels, there’s a Turbo/Booster button that allows you to choose between 100% and 75% performance. This gives you more control over the booster’s performance.

Let’s not forget that this booster also has three antennas, so you can really increase your range and signal strength from virtually anywhere in your home. By the way, you can upgrade to a premium antenna if you want (for an additional fee) which will increase your range.

On the front of the booster, there’s also a smart Wi-Fi light indicator that lets you know if the signal is weak or strong. If it’s weak, you can move it to a new location to get a better connection.

The Trifiboost booster really does offer so many great features that I haven’t found with many other boosters. Setup was also easier than I thought it would be, which was a relief. I consider myself tech savvy, and I had a hard time making some boosters work with my devices.

The Benefits of This Extender

Why would you buy Trifiboost extender when I’ve reviewed so many other great Wi-Fi boosters? Because this booster offers a few things that other models don’t, and you’ll find that virtually all Trifiboost reviews are positive.

The dual-band option, in my opinion, is what really sets Trifiboost apart from the crowd. Being able to switch over to the 5G channel means that you can get faster speeds with less congestion. Yes, there are other boosters that offer the dual-band option, but not too many.

I like that this booster has three antennas. Most boosters  only have two antennas, and in some cases, these two aren’t enough to extend the signal to those dead zones in your home. Having the extra antenna can make all the difference, especially if you have some serious dead zones in your home.

You can adjust the position of the antenna, too, so you can point them in the direction of your router. This will help with picking up a signal, boosting the signal’s strength and improving your speeds.

Installation was quicker and easier than I thought it would be. Most people – even those who aren’t tech savvy – should have their booster up and running in just a few minutes.

I also like that this booster has an LED signal indicator that lets me know whether I have a strong signal. This way, I don’t waste time running back and forth and trying to new outlets in different parts of the house. I can plug it in, and see right away whether I’ll have a strong signal.

What Could Have Been Better

Trifiboost Wi-Fi extender is almost perfect. The only real complaint I had about this booster is that shipping took what felt like forever (it really wasn’t). It’s a brand new product, and a lot of people are clamoring to get their hands on it.

Shipping may take a little longer than usual because of this. Otherwise, there’s really nothing to complain about with this booster. It has all of the features you could want or ask for – and some you may not have even known you needed.

My Verdict

Rating: 97%

Trifiboost is a near-perfect Wi-Fi booster that will help you obliterate dead zones and improve your Internet speeds. The three antennas help ensure that your signal extends to these weak areas, and you have the option of upgrading these antennas if you want an even greater signal improvement.

The signal indicator lets you know whether your booster is in a good location, and you can choose between two channels for even greater speed and control over your signal improvement.

If you need a high-performing Wi-Fi booster, Trifiboost is a great option that won’t disappoint.
